Hot Sauce Collectible Bottles

There are some hot sauces out there that have bottles that are just plain genius and make a great collectible item.  Usually the hotter the sauce, the crazier the bottle.

One of the weirdest, if just for the graphic, is Crazy Jerry’s Mustard Gas sauce, which is a silver flask with a pic of a skull wearing a gas mask. This sauce contains mustard oil and lots of pepper.

Mad Dog Hot Sauce makes collector’s editions.  Recently they put out one that came with a Hot Sauce Gun Keychain.  They have also made one that comes with a Silver Bullet key chain.  These sauces are made from Habanero Peppers and Cayenne Peppers with a Scoville rating of 160,000.

Some funny packaging comes to consumers courtesy of Lethal Ingestion Hot Sauce, which is a combination of Red Savina, Fatali and Bhut Jolokia Ghost Chilis that are blnded together.  The bottle looks like a remedy for a digestive upset.

Dave’s Gourmet 2013 Jolokia Private Reserve is packaged in its own small wooden box as if it was a vintage wine. This hot sauce is so hot that it is not for use for people with heart or respiratory problems.  It is made out of Joloki peppers, onion puree, jalapeno puree and red wine vinegar.

Cajohn’s is a company that makes all kinds of limited edition bottles.  Cajohn’s Re Savina Puree Guitar Hot Sauce comes in a massive guitar shaped body.  Cajohn’s also makes an edition that comes in a hot air balloon shaped bottle called Capjohn Fatalli Puree Balloon Hot Sauce.

A quite weird hot sauce bottle is the Naga Sabi Bomb Hot Sauce, which looks like a nuclear bomb head with atomic symbols all over it. It contains the Naga Sabi Bomb Hot Sauce contains the world’s hottest chili pepper.  It has 1,000,000 Scoville units of heat!   The idea is that it is so hot its nuclear.

One of the most lethal hot sauces comes in a  prescription pill vial and inside there is an oil that is so hot that it registers at 500,000 Scoville Units.  Made from purr capsicum, it can be added to your favorite chili or stew. However, use this with caution. It is packaged in a vial that holds a dropper to keep it safe from curious types who may not realize that this sauce is so hot it can burn the eyes and skin.
