You might love to barbecue but if you are travelling a lot there may be all kinds of situations where you might not be allowed to grill your food as you like. Thankfully, having a portable electric grill allows you to barbecue inside.
There are some fancy grills made nowadays that do not require electricity but most fire inspectors don’t like them no matter how handy they seem. The other good thing about these new electric portable grills is they are not just for travel. You can barbecue inside your apartment if you want. Some landlords who have balconies on their properties will only let you use the electric grill because other types of barbecues blow sparks all over or blow smoke into your neighbor’s window.
A really nice portable electric grill is the made by the Italian company Fuego. These look like bbq’s that were designed for Austin Powers to use in a spacecraft. The look a little mod, a little Kubrick and quite futuristic at the same time. Many Fuego portable barbecue come with their own meat-cutting counter and it has a drawer in it so that you can keep your utensils in it. There is no set up at all when it comes to using this type of grill. You can just pull it out of the trunk of your car and plug it in. It has a coiled element that gives you 1650 watts of cooking power. It also has a reflecting plate that returns heat back to the meet so you make perfect hamburgers, steaks and ribs every time.
The Fuego grills look pretty nice too. They come in small brightly colored enamel shells in bright red, green and orange colors. The Fuego company actually calls this product “campfires for modernists.” The grill itself is a conversation piece at social events because design wise it is quite hip and futuristic looking.
If you are ecology minded then you love this grill because it does not emit fumes like an ordinary barbecue. It does not add as many carcinogens to the food because there is not as much toxic smoke wafting through the meat. When you use an electric grill you also save the trees because no trees are cut down so you can use it.
Fuegos are the coolest barbecue gadgets going and both the portable and larger sizes have been the subject of articles in many glossy magazines including Log Home Living, Outside Magazine and Mountain Living.
