Cold Beer in One Minute

Is there anything worse than a warm beer during a barbecue? If you hate warm beverage then you might want to consider investing in a beverage chiller.  There are many on the market that can completely ice up a brew in less than one minute.

A popular brand is simply called the One-Minute Drink Chiller but there are many variations of this on the market. Most are made out of brushed stainless steel and not the much larger than a small transistor radio.  These are cradle-shaped unit in which you lay the can and in under sixty seconds the beverage is completely chilled. By the way this process chills beverages forty times faster than a freezer and there is no risk of freezing the beverage inside the can either because the chiller automatically stops chilling the can or bottle when the desired temperature is reached.  No more exploding beers or colas when you pop the can’s tab!

You can take this type of chilling unit with you everywhere.  A typical model usually holds one twelve-ounce can or bottle.  You fit the bottle or can in the unit cradle and it slowly starts spinning.  There is only one hitch to this thing and that is that it does not work until you add ice to the thing. This can be a bit of a challenge if you are camping and do not have access to ice. However, it is ideal if you are staying in a hotel and there is an ice machine in the hallway. If you are barbecuing at your home it is quite easy to have a bag of ice on hand to fuel the unit.

You can also program it so that it does not spin. This prevents a beverage from becoming too cold. For instance, you may not want to drink white wine warm but you may not want to drink as a completely icy beverage either.  Without the spin the option turned on the bottle or can the beverage inside does not get super-cold.  This means the contents of the bottle or the bottle itself do not become damaged in any way.

Usually it is difficult to overchill beer but you can destroy the taste of wine if it is too cold. Keep in mind too that if you rotate a bottle of wine using this type of device that the sediment that usually stays at the bottom of the bottle might be shaken loose and end up inside of the liquid where you could end up drinking it.
