Check Out Ohio’s Odd Attractions and Cumin Cuisine!

Ohio is a state that is more than well known for its eccentric museums and roadside attractions. Examples are the American Sign Museum which in Cincinnati Ohio (which is simply a large collection of signage) and the French People Topiary in Columbus Ohio (that features Manet like figures carved out of bushes). There are plenty of Ohio bed and breakfasts en route to see things like “Andy Day and The Two Headed Calf” in Brookville Ohio (this is a cow with eight nostrils and eight eyes.)

Other odd attractions that you might want to take a gander at while you are in Ohio are Big Muskie’s Bucket  (a giant earth moving scoop) on display in Reinersville and the Noah’s Ark in Dillenger that features a home built boat with animated taxidermy. You can also visit the Paperweight museum in Cambridge, the Pencil Sharpener Museum in Carbon Hill and the replica of the Filling Station from the Andy Griffiths show in Circle Hill.

Some of the best Ohio bed and breakfasts are located in Sandusky, which is also where its ancient and very popular state amusement park is located. Many visitors opt to stay at Cedar Point which is the home of Wagner’s 1844 Inn or at the Big Oak Bed and Breakfast.

The repast that you are served at your Ohio bed and breakfasts might be the healthiest thing you eat all day especially if you stay way from the sausage and egg specials and stick to coffee, fruit and a croissant. Ohio is as state fascinated with junk food including every type of roadside restaurant chain that you can imagine including the one unique to Ohio called Kings Family Restaurants.  The highways are also lined with the usual suspects such as Big Boy, A and W, Friendly’s, Baker’s Square and other outlets selling fattening delights.

Of course not all of Ohio is filled with fast food. In the big cities you can find some very haute cuisine including the Cumin Fusion Cuisine (Indian combined with French food) that Cincinnati is famous for and Asian Fusion Cuisine (oriental combined with French) to be had at the Saigon Palace in Columbus, Ohio.
